Render Review Pack Builder — Offline Client Review Packs for Blender

Turn your Blender renders into a client-ready offline review pack.

Send versions, A/B comparisons and review status without requiring your client to create an account or use a cloud service. Add your renders in Blender, mark each one Review / Approved / Revise, add notes, and export a folder or ZIP that opens with a double-click.

When the client asks for changes, render V2, add it, and re-export into the same folder - the pack updates cleanly.

Features

• Sidebar panel "Render Review Pack" inside Blender (3D Viewport + Image Editor)
• Shots with versions (V1, V2, Final...), per-render notes, and review status: Review / Approved / Revise
• A/B comparison per shot: drag slider or side-by-side; choose which two versions the client sees first
• One-click export to a folder or ZIP: open index.html by double-click, no server, no internet, no account
• Re-export into the same folder to update the pack after each client round (old files cleaned up, originals never touched)

Compatibility

Tested: Blender 5.2.1 LTS on Windows 11; viewer tested in Chrome 154 and Edge 154 over file://. Built for Blender 4.2 LTS and newer - other Blender versions, macOS, Linux, Firefox and Safari are NOT tested yet.

Installation

Download and extract the ZIP. In Blender: Edit > Preferences > Get Extensions > drop-down arrow (top right) > Install from Disk... > choose render_review_pack_builder-1.0.0.zip. Then press N in the 3D Viewport and open the "Review Pack" tab.

FAQ

Does my client need an account or internet? No - they double-click index.html.
Is anything uploaded? No. The add-on has no network access.
Can I hide your name in the client pack? Yes, switch off the footer credit.
Can the client comment inside the pack? No - V1 is one-way; you set status and notes.
Do updates cost extra? Free updates for all 1.x versions.

Known limitations

• Stills only (no video review)
• One-way delivery: no client comments or approvals come back into Blender
• No accounts, cloud, hosted links or password protection
• EXR/HDR/TIFF previews use your scene's colour management and are for review, not colour-accurate masters
• Tested up to 100 renders per pack; about 50 or fewer recommended
• Tested on Windows + Blender 5.2.1 only

AI disclosure
